"Surely, you jest"

Films: The Killer Snakes (1974)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized area/Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Ever hear the phrase, "careful who you pick on in High School"? It ALWAYS applies. Especially when that guy is willing to kill you and your friends for his humiliation.

History: Marty Rantzen's life was Hell. Scrawny and nerdy, this kid was the butt of everyone's jokes. Then they went too far, rigging his chemistry experiment to blow up in his face, the resulting chain reaction ending with him getting dunked on by fire and a jar of acid. Years later, the school is set for demolition, but the pranksters have been invited to a party there...by who? And why are people getting killed by a maniac in a jester outfit? Marty hasn't returned...right?

Notable Kills: Tricks a guy into drinking acid that causes his guts to burst out, and electrocutes a bed while a couple is having sex on it.

Final Fate: After killing everyone, Marty is assaulted by the victims' angry spirits...before waking from a nightmare in a mental ward. He manages to escape so that he can start his killing spree for real...

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Who knew a complete loser like this could end up being such a creative and violent killer? From his evil-looking jester getup to the myriad ways he can kill you, you'd better watch yourself the next time you get it in your head to turn another student into your plaything.

Trivia: -This film was originally called "April Fools Day", but it was changed due to a film of the same name coming out the same year.

-Marty was played by Simon Scuddamore...who killed himself almost immediately after filming was over. Ouch.

Thankfully, I didn't see him cutting any corners in this film.

As seen on the very cover, Marty can feel his sins crawling all over him.
10/10 for creativity, that is.

Mudane or not, you can't deny the terror of being hanged.
You're not Two-Face or the Joker, but you're not the Trickster.

You might want to run now. They never stay down.
